The Governors Cup at Magnolia is Next
The Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Late Model Sportsman Tour heads back to Magnolia for the 20th Annual Governors Cup on Saturday, July 13th. This will be race number seven of the inaugural season for the 602 touring series and the second time in 2024 the series has competed at "The Mag". Back on May 26th, Russellville, Alabama driver Bryson Mitchell scored the $4,000 victory ahead of Jarrett Jones and Tyler Burgess, making Mitchell the fifth different winner at the time. Since then, Kenny Collins' win at Cochran made him the sixth different winner in six races so far in 2024.
The event will be co-headlined by the Late Model Sportsman Tour and the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series. The 604 touring series will headline the 20th Annual Governors Cup with a $10,000 to-win finale on Saturday night, July 13th. This will be the 25th trip to "The Mag" for the Adam Stewart-directed series and will be a two-day show, featuring Group Hot Laps, Stakt by CV Racing Products Time Trials, and Chevrolet Performance Heats on Friday, July 12th, and Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet B-Mains and the main event on Saturday, July 13th.

Thursday, July 11th: Open Practice
Friday, July 12th: $600 to win (Non-Points Race)
Saturday, July 13th: $2,000 to win
The Late Model Sportsman points event is on Saturday, but drivers will be able to compete in a regular $600 to-win (non-points) feature on Friday night. However, drivers will be able to earn national weekly points on Friday night. Plus, teams will have the opportunity to practice on Thursday night, July 11th, for the events of the weekend. Also joining the two CRUSA touring series will be CRUSA Modified Sportsman, CRUSA Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Hot Shots for the weekend.
